how to recover a closed document in Microsoft word

I was typing something in microsoft word and by mistake I closed the program
without saving it. How can I restore/recover what I was Typing
 
If you have saved the file at least once and have set Tools > Options, on the
Save tab "Always create a backup copy" you will be able to recover the file
up to the last time the file was backed up. If you do not have this option
set and have saved the file at least once, you only have the last saved
version of the file. If none of these apply, you have lost everything.
