I recently started using Microsoft Outlook. To check my incoming e-mail I
have to always download my e-mails from the POP (Tools -> send/receive ->
"xxxxx" pop only - > inbox).

Can anyone guide me as to how can I setup my e-mail so that I get my
e-mails directly without having to download ?

Getting email "directly" from any POP3 account has always meant downloading
them.
What, exactly, do you wish to do instead?

What I was trying to say is when I get an e-mail it doesn't show up at that
instant. I have to click on Tools -> send/receive -> "xxxxx" pop only - >
inbox -- only then I see the new e-mails in my inbox.

I want to know how to setup the e-mail so that I am notified on the instant
I receive a new e-mail.
