It all started when my flat screen monitor failed a couple days ago.
Fortunately, I was able to put an old spare CRT monitor in use as a temp
substitute.

The first prolem I had was that the Windows screen images were a little
smaller than available CRT screen space.

So, I got that taken care of.

Now, some of my other windows (like Notepad, for instance, open with the
right side off screen, and dragging the left side only widens the image, but
doesn't move the offscreen part to where I can see or get to the little
control boxes in the upper right corner, or the scroll button. The only way
I can terminate them is by using Control/Alt/Delete.

So, how do I get these kinds of screens to center or move over to where I
can control them?

I'm guessing that you need to go to control panel-- lookup display-- go to
settings then carefull slide the bar to the right the entire viewing screen
gets smaller on the monitor??

I hope that's right?
good luck???
Maybe I ought to read yer question HUH?

maybe this might help?
up at the top there is a differnce in the color sortta like a bar?
put yer mouse on it , click and drag it left to see the closure boxes???

Good luck?

That doggone thing only lets me have two selections. One is too small, the
other too big. Wonder why it isn't continuously variable? After all, it's
supposed to be a slider.....

Thanks for the other tip to just grab it by the title bar. That works.
It's not the ultimate fix, but it's a workaround.

Somee CRTs need to have a display driver installed so that the video card
can correctly display to it.
