How to qualify a program?

After intial problems Windows Defender works now quite well, however, Defnder
keeps
"complaining" about programs not being qualified. The message says:
Windows
Defender Real-Time Protection agent has detected spyware or other
potentially unwanted software.

Thank you, these are all interesting links but it doesn't help me ... :-(
What I would like to do is tell Defender that the program or programs in
question are benign and that they should be accepted by Defender as OK on my
computer rather than telling me that they are not "qualified" ... ... Is
there a way to do that?

Regards,

Robert

Hi Robby,

I think you may have to work at excluding it from the scan, as an interim
measure. Tools, general settings, scroll down to advance settings, and hit
the add button.

Thanks for your patience but I can't find/see anywhere "advance settings"
.... :-(
I have version 1.1.1347.0 and engine version 1.1.1481.0 and in checking just
a minute ago for updates there were none ... What now?

Thanks, found it! I just had the upper frame in front of my eyes and
overlooked the scroll ... :)

I added one program now and will see what happens - may be that did the
trick .. Will report results in next days ...

Best regards,

Robby

Entry of programs here results in Defender balloon messages after start-up
.... I think I just have to live with the warning entries as this way I don't
have to do anything ...

Robby
