I keep getting a "Review detected changes" popup for an application that I
WANT on my system -- connected network backup. I select the "Allow" for this
application but the popup keeps comming back. Not consistently I get the
80501001 error. Below are the Windows Defender and Security log entries.

How do I resolve this item.

thanks

I think you may have to work at excluding it from the scan, as an interim
measure. Tools, Options, scroll down to Advanced options, and fill the box,
hit the add button.
and Save.

Just to be clear with Windows Defender (Beta 2) the files would be entered in:

Tools->General Settings [scroll down to] Advanced Options.

I tried to add:
(1) C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Start
Menu\Programs\Startup\Connected TaskBar Icon.LNK
(2) C:\Program Files\Connected\CBSysTray.exe

I copy/pasted the .LNK (1) path below and it translated to the .exe (2) path!
I tried to browse to the .LNK (1) file and still shows up as the .exe (2) --
only one entry in the list.

The pop-up now only report the .LNK (1) object.
