How to put color on if function

hi, can anyone help me on how can i make the "fail"(as a result) t
appear in color red. i've included the formula. thanks in advance

=IF(C9<75,"fail","pass"

Hi,

You got to use Format->conditional formatting and use this formula there
and choose your desired format.

If that is just the font you can use normal cell formatting
for that. See http://www.mvps.org/dmcritchie/excel/formula.htm

where you will find [Red][>0]"No";[Green]"Yes"

so you could use format, number, custom
for cell D9 of [Red][<75]"Fail";"Pass"
formula for D9: =C9
