How to print page ranges when numbers are prefixed with a letter?

At work, our document template sometimes sets up page numbers so that they
are prefixed with a letter, e.g. page B-10 for page 10 within Annex B.

My question is, what is the syntax to refer to these pages in the print
dialog box so that I can print a page range?

When I have typed in (in this case) B-10 or B10, it says the page number is
invalid.

In the Print dialog box you must never use anything but Arabic
numbers. Use the page numbers indicated on the left of the status bar.
Also, for multi-section documents, include the section number (also
listed on the left of the status bar), in the following format:

p<PageNumber>s<SectionNumber>-p<PageNumber>s<SectionNumber>

See http://word.mvps.org/faqs/formatting/PrintMultipleSections.htm.
