How to print from a .prn file

Hello everyone,
Does anyone know how to print from a .prn file?
I saved an inline document to a prn file from Internet explorer 6.0.
Now I want to print it. I think it could be done years ago in DOS.
Using Win XP SP1
Printing to the same printer as I saved it in (menu). My printer was not
working at that moment
so I saved it to file (.prn).
Any help most gratefully accepted.
Thanks.

Hello
Thanks for the information.
My printer is connected to a USB port.
I will try your solution and see if there are options to direct output to my
default printer.
I will try to repost to let you know how I do.

Hi Fuzzy,
Thanks for the link. I will try that program if Grumpy's method will not
work.
My printer is connected to a USB port.

Hi Grumpy,
I have looked at my file and its size is 0kb (zero). So I do not actually
have a file to print.
:-( Sorry about that. Maybe that is why I am not getting any output from
the printer.

Set the printer to Shared, and make note of the name that you give it.

Then go to Start | Run, and enter the line

NET USE LPT1 \\name of your computer\shared name of printer

You will now be able to issue the command

COPY /b \path\filename.prn LPT1:

Also be aware that the prn file needs to be created using the driver for
*your* printer. If it uses some other driver, the results are likely to be a
hodgepodge.
