How to prevent the task pane from coming up in word when doing fi.

When doing the sequence file: new: in word (word 2002), the task pane opens
up to find the template. You then have to close the task pane. In prior
versions the list up templates was displayed. After selecting the one that
you wanted, you were in a normal word entry screen and didn't have to close a
task pane. How is this done in v2002

Thanks

In Word 2002 and 2003, the File | New command opens the New Document task
pane. To get to the old File New dialog, you must select the FileNewDialog
command from Tools | Customize and add it to a menu or toolbar (you can
replace the existing File | New command or the New button on the Standard
toolbar).
