How to prevent the Outlook message below??

Mike Karpen

When sending email, Outlook will sometimes give the
following pop-up message that I would love to prevent.
It gets a little annoying at times. If anyone knows how
to prevent this message, I would greatly appreciate it!
The message is this:

A program is trying to access e-mail addresses you have
stored in Outlook. Do you want to allow this? If this
is unexpected, it may be a virus and you should
choose "No".

Thanks you for your response.

I live on Outlook

1) don't use Word as your mail editor

Easy to do.
2) disable the add-in you have in Outlook that is causing the message.

Harder to do when you have, as I do, four add-in components. Is there
any way, short of trial-and-error, to determine which add-in is at
fault?

Do I need to somehow trace processes or process trees? What tools are
available, aside from Task Manager? (Win XP)

Trial and error is the only way I know. If it were I, I'd start by
unchecking them all and then add them back in one at a time.

That's the only one of which I'm aware.
