How to Prevent Staionary or Background Pictures From Appearing

Is there anyway to prevent Stationary or Background Pictures from appearing
on an email that is received. I have a user that does not like the
background pictures to be displayed because it causes a delay(sometimes a
crash) when she receives an email with stationary or background images
embedded. We are using Outlook 2000 SP3.

The only option I could find that has anything to do with Plain Text is under
the Mail Format Tab and that appears to only affect mail that is outgoing.

No, you missed it. It's not on the format tab--which I agree is dumb--Tools,
Options, Preferences tab, Email Options button, 'Read all standard mail in
plain text' is at the bottom of the list under Mail Handling.
