How to play WMV Files

Is there any other player except Windows Media Player to
play WMV files coz whenever I try playing through WMP9 it
starts downloading some certificate or something and then
I get page not available or something. Please help.

Sounds like your trying to play protected content. Where did you get this
content from? If the company hosting the license no longer has them up no
other player is going to help you.

might try turning off the option to update certificates as well as the other intrusive spy options.
