How to open two Excels files in the same screen & do work on both

31 Dec/2003 - Hello - This is the first time I have used this method to find help. My problem is this. I can open two DIFFERENT windows on the same screen for WORD and I can work on each window. But I can not find a way to open two EXCEL files in the same screen and work on each? Is there a solution to this. Thanks to anyone who can help me. George...

From the Excel help:

View multiple sheets or workbooks at the same time
Open the workbooks you want to view.
To view multiple sheets in the active workbook, click New Window on the Window menu.
Switch to the new window, and then click a sheet you want to view. Repeat for each
sheet you want to view.
On the Window menu, click Arrange.
Under Arrange, click the option you want.
To view sheets in only the active workbook, select the Windows of active workbook
check box.

I'm using Office 2003 but there should be a similar setting in other Excel
versions. Look under Tools> Options> View. Check the "Windows in Taskbar"
option to display buttons for multiple workbooks on the Windows taskbar.
