How to open/play/close a program

Recently bought a new computer. Has XP home editon with SP2.

Had Windows ME and always liked the "Sound Recorder" program that came
with ME. Very small and I liked it for playing WAV files.

I was able to copy it from my old hard drive into the new computer and
it works fine. I've re-associated WAV files to play with the Sound
Recorder.

Here's the question: On my old computer, I set it up to be able to
click on a WAV file, the program would open, play the file and then
close. Now, I can't remember how to set it up that way again.

In Tools/File Options/Advanced I've tried numerous ways to edit how the
program responds, but can't seem to get it to work.
I've tried "C:\Windows\Soundrec.exe /play/close but always get a
invalid warning msg.

Tried to add a seperate play and close, but that doesn't work either.

Any suggestions?

This doesn't answer your question but why did you feel the need to copy
sound recorder from ME to XP when XP already has it?

1/ Click Start Button
2/ Click ALL Programs
3/ Click Accessories
4/ Click Entertainment
5/ In the Entertainment drop down menu the first item is 'sound recorder'

Sound recorder comes with XP anyway there was no need to copy it from the
Windows ME computer.
Also, you could try Media Player in XP, plays Wav files just as well.
