how to open closed personal folders

I am using Windows XP and Outlook 2003. I create Personal Folders per every
school year. I wanted to clean up my navigation bar, so I right clicked on a
folder and "closed" it. Now, I can't find it anywhere. I don't think I
deleted it. It didn't say "Delete Folder" but rather "Close folder"? How
can I get it back? I can find the current year's Personal Folder, so I know
where it should be located, but it just isn't there.

It doesn't work. I click File, Open, Outlook Data File. All that shows up
are the current Personal Folder I am working in and Archive. The Archive is
currently empty since I haven't archived anything recently.

PSTs can be anywhere on disk where you have access. Just because it doesn't
appear in the folder you see when you click File>OPen>Outlook Data File
doesn't mean it's not in some other Windows folder. Use Search in Windows
Explorer to look for files whose extension is ".pst", taking care to enable
searching hidden files and folders in the advanced search options.

I have already done that. I did it again, just to make sure. I asked it to
find any hidden files also. Nothing comes up.

Did you also include hidden folders?

I found them! We have a private drive and they were somehow saved there. I
didn't realize it until just now. Thanks for all of your help!!
