How to open AVI files

I am runiing MS Frontpage 2003.
I imported an .AVI file (900 Meg) to a page.
When I am in browswr mode and click on it, it just tries to download it
instead of playing the movie.
Can anyone tell me what I am missing?

Do you have the Windows Media Player Plug-in for FP installed?

And, a 900 MB file is humongous!!!
