how to open a 07 word document on a 03 word format

having a problem with a new wireless, sent a word 07 document to another
computor with word 03. Could not open this document. Why

Nothing to do with a 'wireless'. The problem is that the 2003 installation
does not have the compatibility pack installed to enable it to open 2007
dociments.

The file format has been changed for Office 2007.

You can use Word 2007's Save As dialog to save the file in "Word 97-2003"
format, which the older program can open. Or you can update the older
program with the compatibility pack to enable it to read and edit the new
format:
