How to move the style from other document correctly

I have a simple q.

I have two documents and need to copy some text from DOC 1 to DOC 2.

If I copy and paste the text in the DOC 2, than the styles looks correct.
But if I try to create e.g. TOC or select the text Heading 2, than I have
problem.
The Word don't recognize the new pasted text as the style Heading 2.

I made than only one, I have marked the new Heading 2 text (which was pasted
from DOC 1) and selected the text with similar style and applied the style
Heading 2, than it works properly.

THANKS FOR SUGGESTIONS
 
If you want to paste a paragraph style, you must copy an entire paragraph
(including at least one paragraph mark).
