how to move from Outlook Express to Outlook?

How do I move from Outlook Express on an old XP computer to Outlook on a new
Vista computer? I'd like to move emails, accounts, and address book.
Instructions I've found so far seem to assume I'll have a copy of OE on the
new computer, which I don't.

No, you need Windows Mail on the new machine (which you have). Outlook must
be installed and functional on the Vista machine you're using. You'll first
need to transfer everything from Outlook Express to Windows Mail
(http://www.oehelp.com/backup.aspx#oe2wm). From there, open Windows Mail
and go to 'File|Export|Messages|Microsoft Exchange' to transfer messages.
For contacts, 'File|Export|Windows Contacts|CSV', and when finished, open
Outlook and go to 'File|Import and Export|Import from another program or
file|Comma Separated Values'. Accounts will have to be re-entered.
