how to migrate pc outlook pst files to mac system

i am switching from pc to mac and i got bunch of pc outlook emails which
have been archived into *pst files, i read from the microsoft that there is
an application "pst import tool" helping this migration, however i was told
that the tool only supports outlook for mac pst files but not standard pc
pst file. then i downloaded outlook for mac on my mac system but just
couldnt open the application as an exchange server is required for starting
up the applciation before i can import my pc pst files inot outlook for
mac....anybody has any idea on how to setup this outlook for mac??? thanks.

This is an ACCESS newsgroup. Access is a databse application that is part
of Microsoft Office Professional. I would suggest you find a newsgroup that
pertains to Outlook, or to your Mac appliaction.
