How to "mass" change Outlook Contacts categories

G

Guest

I have assigned a custom category to about 500 Contacts in Outlook 2003. I
now want to delete the category designation, so that each Contact will then
have a category of "none". How can I accomplish this? I will appreciate
advice.

Select all the items you want to change, right-click, choose Categories and delete the desired category.

Export to Excel (if it supports the export of your custom category) and
delete the column or empty it.
