How to make XP pro to WINS Server

HI...

I have very small network and i want to make one my XP pro machine will act
as WNS server so that other machine get resolved nme fm that machine

can you pls help me out

Sorry, Windows XP won't provide an server functionality like DNS or WINS. A
system running XP can act as a WINS proxy ("WINS Proxy Enabled Yes" in
ipconfig), but the WINS server has to be on a separate computer running Windows
2000 Server, or Server 2003. It can't be on the XP computer itself.

If you have a workgroup, and no server, you'll have to use NetBIOS name
resolution, and anything but "Node Type Peer-Peer".
