How to make Outlook my default mail client

T

tshad

I had Eudora on my machine before (and it is still on my machine) but I
don't use it anymore.

I am using Outlook 2003 at the moment, but in when I click on a link in
Eudora that would normally bring up an email client, I get Eudora and not
Outlook.

How to I make email links (mailto) open Outlook instead of Eudora?

Thanks,

Tom

First make sure you have set Outlook as your default email program in
Control Panel > Internet Options > Programs.
Then make sure you have set the following for the open command for the
URL:Mailto Protocol:
"<drive>:\PROGRA~1\MICROS~4\OFFICE11\OUTLOOK.EXE" -c IPM.Note /m "%1"
