We have windows mail and whilst I have found the "contact" tab and put
everyone there in the folder that I want, when I create new mail and click on
the "to" button, it's just got everyone in a massive long list and none of
the folder are there. In exprexx you cound just make a new folder but I can't
seem to do this except in the contact bit which doesn't show up with the "to"
button. How do I fix this?

Sounds like you need to enable or customize your toolbar . . . . to enable
the toolbar, right click at top of main mail screen (not a new / compose
screen or newsgroup screen) and select toolbar. Contacts is a little icon
that looks like a driver's' license . . . . if it is not there you will need
to "customize the toolbar".

Go to View > Layout > Customize Toolbar. There you will find Contacts in
the list on the left and highlight it, click the "Add" button in-between the
two lists and it will populate into the list on the right. you can drag it
up and down in there to put it where you want it.

Once you have Contacts, click on it to open and you will see options across
the top which include "New Group" for grouping functionally similar
addresses together.

The "To" button in WM only give you a list of the most recently used email
addresses - it only gives 29 and this is a Microsoft, set-in-stone, number -
unfortunately you can't change that. So if you start typing an address and
nothing auto-populates, you have to go to your contact icon to select it.

Hope this is fairly easy to follow. Let me know if you need further
assistance.
