Does anyone know how to make excel popup with the function parameter
when I type "=find(" it does in one one of my computers but not th
other. It's really annoying.
thank

ctrl-a will pop open the function wizard.
ctrl-A will show the parms in the formula bar.

If you mean the yellow tooltips, then this was added in xl2002.

If you're using xl2002 and have it disabled, you can reenable it via:
Tools|options|General Tab|check Function tooltips.

(Thanks, Deb! I looked and couldn't find a week or so ago.)

This will appear in Excel 2002 or Excel 2003, if there is a check mark
beside 'Function Tooltips' (Tools>Options, General tab)

In earlier versions, you can force the arguments to appear in the cell
-- type the equal sign, function name, and open bracket:
=SUM(
then press Ctrl+Shift+A

Hi!

Excel 2000.

If I click on the "=" sign alongside the formula entry box and the
type "find(" (no quotes), the function parameters pop up.
