How to make 'enlarged' from 'small-sized' photo and print afterwards

M

MapleE.

Hi:
I want to make a small-sized photo to an enlarged-photo and afterwards, I
want to
print, this enlarged-photo?

Then, I have two questions to ask;

(1) How to make a small-sized photo, 2 x 3 inches photo to an enlarged-sized
photo,
which is 4 x 6 inches by using a 4 x 6 borderless photo-paper?

(2) How to print after this, an enlarged photo?

Thanks for your help in advance.

========================
You can print as a 4x6 without resizing.

Just right click the 2x3 and from the
menu...choose...Print / Next / Next...

Choose a 4x6 template. Clicking Next
one last time will print the image.

Considering that 4x6 is 4 times as large
as a 2x3...you can expect the resolution
(quality) to suffer.

Irfanview has an option to Resample which
is better than a simple resize...maybe it
would be useful to you.

Download IrfanView

(get the plug-ins too)

Hi:
This is a scanned-photo.

I accessed, My document > Scan photos > picked one of small-photos > clicked
'print'

However, it is still a small and original size. Not able to print an
enlarged sized photo.
I still have a problem.

Could you instruct me step by step basis.

Thanks again.

Makes no difference...it's still a
digital image file.

Just wondering...are you aware
that you can enlarge an image
when you scan it?

Ok...this opens the "Photo Printing Wizard"...
did you try choosing the various templates?
You'll see that the image size changes to
match the various templates.

When you choose...Print...does the

I think I just did.

Dear John Inzer:
Thanks for the response.

I did NOT enlarge the photo when I scanned, because I didn't think about
my friend wanting an enlarged-printing for this photo.

Then, now I have a problem of printing.

Is there any way I am able to print this photo, from the 2 x 3 to a 4 x 6
printing?

BTW, I have 'Microsoft Digital Image 2006.'

Thank you for any suggestion.

================================
The previous instructions were for printing
in Windows, you should have said that you
were using additional software.

If you want to use MS Digital Image 2006
to print the 4x6 image...try either of the
following methods...

#1) Open the image in DIS2006...

Go to...File / Print...

Open the drop window at #2 (Select a print size)
and choose 4x6.

Click...Print.

Also if you are using photo paper...be sure to
open the Change Printer Settings dialog and
choose Photo Paper.

#2) Open the image in DIS2006...

Go to...File / Print / Print Multiple...

At #2...choose...Category / Photo Prints...
Select one of the 4x6 templates.
"Photographic - Two 4x6"
or...
"Photographic - Three 4x6"

Drag a copy of the image into one or more
of the cells on the template.

Next / Print.

Also if you are using photo paper...be sure to
open the Change Printer Settings dialog and
choose Photo Paper.

Also...resizing the image in DIS2006 is
easily accomplished by going to...
Format / Resize Image...

Dear John Inzer:
Many thanks for your detailed instruction on this regard.
I truly appreciate your help.

I did it with the Digital Image as following your instruction.

It has gotten much better with Digital Image, however I still need to work
around in order to get a 4 x 6 photo printing. It might take a while to get
used
to it, but I think I can accomplish this, soon.

Thanks again!
