How to load Business Contact Manager without a server?

My home office computer has MS XP Professional & Office 2003 Pro installed. I
have been trying to load Business Contact Manager to no avail. I load the
CD, run the install but it cancells the install. Does .NET have to be
installed first?

Yes. .NET has to be installed first. It should prompt you to install .NET
though.

Hi Patricia,

I am also having BCM installation problems. The install gets to completion
and just hangs. I've manually closed it using Task Manager and BCM seems to
work, but I'm not feeling too good about this (like there are some registry
items or cleanup tasks left hanging and my install is unstable).

I have also noticed that whenever I attempt to apply .Net Framework 1.1 SP1
update via LiveUpdate my install fails.

Are these problems related?
Are they beyond BCM issues?

Thanks.
