How to Load App at Boot?

Guest

Hi all,

How do I instruct Windows 2000 to load an application at startup (prior to a
user login)? If I use HKLC > Software > Microsoft > Windows > CurrentVersion
Run, the app only loads after a user logs in. And, apparently, Windows
2000 does not support the RunServices key.

I have a RAID-monitoring app that must run in order to detect array
failures. But this doesn't do much good in a server farm where users are
rarely logged in. I need the app to load on startup and stay resident with a
user logged in.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Egads! That seems like an awful lot of work for such a simple task, but I
guess it'll have to do. It's no wonder I couldn't figure it out on my own.

Thank you, Dave.
