How to launch another Window from my web page?

1 - How can I create a hyperlink on a web page that launches another window
or browser while keeping my main page open behind it? (It pops up over the
main page when they click the link to go to it.)

2 - How can i size the window?

3 - How can I remove the all the controls at the top like...File - Edit View

AND remove...
a - the Standard Buttons (Back Home Search etc)
b - the address bar
c - Links
d - Status Bar

So only the blue bar at the top shows with the Minimize, Maximize and Cloxe
button on the right show?

thanks for any help.

You would have to use JavaScript. For a free FP add-in, see Spawn at http://www.jimcoaddins.com

Thomas,

I downloaded the Spawn file from Jimco... but it wanted to install something
on my computer...

I was hoping it would just give me the Java Script for Spawing a popup page.

What does it install? Something into Front Page or a seperate program or
what?

thanks - tmb

It install the Spawn add-in into FP and will then be found under Insert | Component or similar
wording depending on your version of FP.

If you just want plain JavaScript for popup windows, then in your IE address bar type:

? JavaScript Remote Pop up Windows Scripts

yes...you have to install it - it then becomes part of Frontpage, accessible from
the Tools Menu
it is an "add-in" in frontpage but can be removed from the Add/Remove programs in
Control Panel

but since it generates javascript anyway, you may as well use it! other tools
out there actually can do the same thing by getting the user to specify the size,
and whether they want the menu bar, tool bar, etc on the window or not. The
JimCo add in is a VERY useful addin and I'm suprised MS didn't integrate that
functionality into the program to start with.
