How to IRQ settings on Windows 2000

Mike Ross

Hi all

I'm having troubles to set up an IRQ for a video card, But
I know that I cant change settings for ACPI HAL, is there
anyway to change the IRQ for this video card,

It is at 9 now then when I right-click on the Windows
Desktop I have the message Explorer.exe has generated
errors and will be close by windows.

I have look at the Knowlegde base, but what I found didn't
apply to this issue, the only way to fix this is having
the video card at IRQ11

Any comments or help will be apreciated

Thank YOU

Mike

To manually assign IRQ's you'll need to reinstall the OS with ACPI disabled
in cmos setup. IRQ sharing is a normal thing for Windows 2000.
