How to Install Windows Media Player 11

Hi, I've been wondering what steps to take to have windowds media player 11
running, I had the old version of Windows media and wanted to install the 11,
so I downloaded but now is not opening the media player at all, it always
shows to validate the copy of windows, I already validated it several times
and still won't open windows media player but still ask the same question.
When I did the validation the first time It says everything was ok, but I do
not know how to have my windows media player back on, any help???
