Hi

I have a few games that don't work well on window2000 so i
decided to reinstall window98, but problem is, I don't
know how to do it with window2000 pro already installed.

When I insert my window 98 cd in the driver, it tells me
wrong version or something like that. Anyway, any help
would be greatly appreciated.

thanks

You might try application compatibility mode.

From the "Run" box
regsvr32 %windir%\AppPatch\slayerui.dll
to enable application compatibility mode.

To wipe the drive, some ways include; boot a win98 startup disk, run fdisk
and delete all partition information found (as long as NTFS is primary). Or
boot the Windows 2000 CD-Rom or setup disks and when you get to the point,
delete the existing NTFS and or other partitions found, then abort the
install. Or use a utility named delpart. Once removed you can boot the Win98
CD-Rom or restore CD-Rom to start your install.

First of all, is your "C" drive FATx?

If your "C" drive is some variant of the FAT file system, then you can go
ahead and install Windows '98. Boot from a Win98 boot disk and proceed with
the install. After Win98 is completely setup, boot from your Windows 2000 CD
and repair the startup environment.
