I have made a report form with a number of text fields and locked the form.
This work fine.

Now the user want to ad some pictures to report form as part of the normal
usage of the form.

But when I want to insert a picture in the field and select Picture from the
Insert Menu all possibilities (like From file, Word art etc.) are grayed out
..

When I unlock the form it is possible. But then all my other data are the
deleted by the unlocking.

Any good ideas

Hi Jorgen,

Insert a section break to separate wherever you want to insert the picture
from the rest of the document. Then, via the menu, protect the form for
fields and only protect the other section(s).

Cheers

I have tried the suggestion, but no success.

I have opened a new page.

Created a one-cell table with some text and a Text Form Field

Then I inserted a Section break Continuous

Added 5 lines with some text

Then I inserted one more Section break Continuous

Then I created one more one-cell table with some text and a Text Form Field

When I lock the form a can switch from the upper to the lower table, but I
am unable to go to the in between lines, where I would insert the graphics.

What did I misunderstand??

Hi jnm,

The section where you want to insert the graphics must be unprotected. If
you've got formfields either side of this space, you'll need to insert
section breaks before and after it, and only protect the sections on either
side.

Cheers

When I try to protect / lock the form it doesn't care for the section
breaks. It lock all of the form in one operation.

Hi jnm,

Apply the protection via the menu: Tools|Protect Document > Forms, then
click 'Sections' and uncheck the section you want to put your pictures in.
