how to import photos from email to Picasa2

I must be the dumbest guy on the block but I have followed all the Help
directions and cannot transfer my email pictures to Picasa2. Am
running Windows XP, Home (legal version), use Microsoft Office Outlook
for my email. When I save photos to My Pictures, the save text will
not accept jpg files, which is what I use for photos.
Could anyone help me solve this problem, would be gratefully
appreciated. Bob1

I don't use outlook but...

All of the email clients I've worked on already save attachments to a
default subdirectory. Have you identified what the default is for your
outlook?

If you can do that, then you can either

1) go to that sub-dir and transfer to your /pix folder. Then have
picasa index it or
2) point Picasa2 at the sub-dir and let it index it

Personally, I prefer to have my picture files in a certain physical
drive and directory structure. So, I use #1.
