Yea I looked at title 'How to identify source of spam
email?' & Yahoo articles will eventually tell you how
to find who sent email- essentually a trace.
Alas the body of post implies he just wants to block
sender. When I had Hotmail, I had it set so only ppl in
address book went to Inbox. Hotmail had lots of trouble
with spammers. Of course, if u fill out a TS form, u
dont know where response will come from so u gotta look
in spam anyway for their response.
Foolproof way that also identifies who gave ur addy out
is disposable addys. Here u would know me as
(e-mail address removed) , poster would know me as (e-mail address removed) but
all r forwarded to (e-mail address removed). If I get spam coming
to (e-mail address removed) , I know its source was u and I
shutdown (e-mail address removed) >> no more spam.
Drawbacks- sending initial email can be tricky, can
cost $35/yr, harder both technically &
organizationally.
I get no spam & even my mother doesnt know my real
addy!

|That MIGHT help if he had a Yahoo account....
|
|Open one of the messages in hotmail and click the BLOCK
|button. It's right next to the reply button I think... i
|could be way off, but that would block that one address.
|If it's a spammer, it'll look to be coming from 30
|different addresses each day, and you won't be able to
|block them all.
|
|My hotmail account has the security on High, which I set
|in the options also, I get about 200 junk emails a day
|that I don't see because they aren't transferred to my
|inbox.
|
|Good luck.
