Good morning/evening

I know there is a way to block senders in hotmail
but what i want is to block a whole dot info
i mean i get lots of unwanted emails line (e-mail address removed)
Is there a way to block every tjhat comes from .info
so every domain name and then dot info.

In MS-DOS i woudl say *@*.info
But can we do something like this in hotmail?

Possibly, by "checkmarking" an email (in your hotmail inbox) from the
undesired sender, and then clicking on the "Junk" link, just below the list
of inbox emails.

This is supposed to "Mark a sender as "Unsafe" and delete the message"
according to the "Junk" link's Tool-Tip text...

But have you not considered using such a thing as desktop email client
software?

That is - an email program that runs on your PC and receives and sends
emails from your desktop, such as Outlook or Outlook Express (the one I
still use).

There are many others, and many of them free to download. It's a fairly
straightforward process to get them configured and running

With an email client, you can create different email filters (known as
"Mail Rules" in Outlook Express) and customize them by choosing what
criteria to use - a part or whole sender's email address or even just a few
letters from the subject line of an unwanted email. Also, you may then
configure the "Rule" to either place the mail that matches the criteria
into a specified folder or just junk it altogether! The "Rule" will then
be applied to all incoming messages from then on.

- see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Email_client for more info and
definition on email clients.

- see http://techblissonline.com/hotmail-pop3-and-smtp-settings/ for
settings with which to configure any email client with your hotmail
account.

Hotmail's server-side filtering permits you to identify on a domain, not
just on the TLD (top-level domain; e.g., .com, .org, .net, .info).

You could try defining your own server-side user-defined filter, like:

Sender's address contains .info
Move to Junk folder

Of course, if the sender were "(e-mail address removed)" regarding
confirmation of your online order to give you info about it, like a
purchase receipt, then that e-mail would get junked by this filter.

There is no means provided by Microsoft to use regular expressions so
you could ensure the ".info" was in the right-id token of the domain in
the e-mail address and not in the left-id token for the username. With
regex, you could use something like "^.+@.+\.info$" or just "\.info$" to
detect .info was at the end of the e-mail address. The Hotmail web
client is not designed for expert computer users.

Yes this is simple. Login to hotmail account, and go into:

Options >> More Options >> Rules for sorting new messages { this is
under: Customized Hotmail}

Click New
Then enter: @donein.info next to Sender's Address

This will block anything from @donein.info.

You also want to select: Delete these Messages {this is a radio button
to select.

Bill gator (Trio maybe?)

What my intension is, to block every domain, that comes with .info
No matter what is in front of the .info
Every domain, that has .info as last 4 letters

Complicated situation i suppose
But other people must be struggeling with unwanted mail from .info sites.
Maybe something for microsoft to look into.

Tim,
Thanks for your answer
I have windows live mail for hotmail as client
It's not so good in blocking
I delete alot of mail but still keeps coming in
and most of the mail come from .info site
so i thought that if i could block the whole .info
then that problem is solved.
But it is more complicated then i thought.

Not a problem if you use a local e-mail client that has robust filtering
rules. Webmail clients are known for being weak regarding filters.
