How to I accept an appointment invite

Received an invite on Windows Mail (Vista) which contains a TXT
attachment.


Question - how do I accept the invite so the inviter knows I've
accepted and, more importantly, it's reflected in my Windows
Calendar?

Surely there's some way of making Windows Mail "calendar aware" like
Outlook?

No, Windows Mail is not calendar-aware.
It is not reasonable to expect a free email program to have the
same feature set as a fairly expensive business class program
like Outlook.
