how to hyperlink to a particular worksheet in Excel 2002

This help on support center Knowledge Base is for Excel
97: KB172503. This shows how to link a particular
worksheet in an Excel Workbook from a href link in a html
page. The worksheet name and cell range should be given
as after the Excel file name:
href = "http://www.server.com/file.xls#sheetname!A1:G100"

This does not work for Excel 2002. Is the method
different here?

this should also work for Excel 2000. What is your exact formula /
hyperlink reference
