how to highlight text in IE 6.x

In IE 5.0, I used to be able to highlight text in the web browser. It was very useful when reading. Now I have a new computer with IE 6.0 and the stupid program doesn't have the feature built in. So annoying when the latest version is not as useful as the older version.

Now, how the heck do I highlight in 6.0?
