How to highlight a message by a macro

Hi everybody

I have no experience in macro development in outlook 2000.
I need to create a macro that could highlight in a different color
(e.g. blu color)a message selected in the "sent mail" folder or in
another one.
Is there anyone that could help me ?

Outlook provides no way to do that directly. Color coding in a folder view
is controlled by the automatic formatting rules for that folder, which are
not programmable. If you have a pre-existing formatting rule set up to turn
a message blue based on certain criteria, your macro could set values on the
message so that it meets those criteria.
