How to have birthday reminders in Outlook 2002

How is it possible to have global birthday reminders in Outlook 2002 wherein the reminder time is different (e.g. 2 wks) from the default reminder time (e.g. 1 day) shown in: tools, options, calender. If no simple solution then is there an plugin/addin available?

Display your calendar in a category view. Select the category and export to
Excel. Change the default reminder in Excel to 2 weeks. Reimport to
Outlook. For new contacts, change it manually.
