How to get Start-Up Utility To Minimize Itself

Is there a way to get a start-up utility to start minimized?

I have Task Manager set to run on start up. I then minimize it (to the
system tray as it is set).

Is there a way to get this to start in the minimized mode or minimize itself
on running through any registry key modification?

I tried adding " /min" after the executable in
HKLM/Software/Microsoft/Windows/Current Version/Run for Task Manager. Didn't
work though!

Regards and thanks in advance.

I'm not sure how you've implemented starting up the Task Manager, but here's
the solution to your problem.
1. Create a new shortcut to the program
- Right-click desktop > New > Shortcut
- Set the location as C:\Windows\System32\taskmgr.exe
- Name the shortcut

3. Set to open minimized
- Right-click shortcut and choose Properties
- Choose Minimized at the Run drop down.

2. Move the shortcut to C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Start
Menu\Programs\Startup

(username is your username)

FYI: If you want the Task Manager to open for all users that login put the
shortcut in C:\Documents and Settings\all\Start Menu\Programs\Startup

This section is my last post should've been step 3 and should've read more
like it does below.

2. Move the shortcut to C:\Documents and Settings\username\Start
Menu\Programs\Startup

(username is your username)

shortcut in C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Start Menu\Programs\Startup

Thanks for the response. I shall be trying it out later today!

I created a new string value in HKLM/Software/Microsoft/Windows/Current
Version/Run and named it Task manager. The path to the Windows Task Manager
in the system32 folder was then inserted in that new string value.

Regards and thanks again.
