How to get rid of Yahoo Toolbar from MSIE 6 browser?

Hello

I recently had the flash player put onto my computer as my browser
(MSIE 6) was shutting down when it went to certain sites and it
appeared that the solution was to install flash player. To this end the
person who built my computer went to some internet resource and
downloaded it to my computer; however since then I have a "Yahoo
Toolbar" at the top of my browser window. I think it might be
something that came along with the flash download and he didn't
choose not to have it included. I don't want it at all and don't
like having to r-click and un-tick it in the pop-up menu in order to
get rid of it. Is there some way of getting rid of it totally?

Any help much appreciated.

Hi,
The Yahoo toolbar is being bundled/offered with several other free programs.
Go to Control Panel> Add or remove programs, find the Yahoo toolbar (it may
be called Yahoo companion) and
uninstall it.

Hope this helps,

Perhaps the uninstaller is missing or corrupt.
Re-install the same toolbar over top, go to > Add/Remove Programs
and try again.
