You can get rid of it and make it look like how Windows NT booted up back in
the day.
Go to your boot.ini file
and add /SOS to the end the line where your WinXP is installed
for example
Multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINDOWS="Microsoft Windows XP
Professional" /fastdetect /SOS
Please be aware that the boot.ini file's attributes is a read-only file, so
you'll have to change the attributes before adding the /SOS flag. The next
time you restart your computer you won't see the Windows XP logo, and you'll
see the old WinNT like blue screen telling you how much ram you have and
which version of Windows you have. If you don't like it, you can just go
back to your boot.ini file and remove the /SOS flag.
