how to get rid of IE history for good

I don't want no history at all.
how to get rid of IE history for good ? Here's what I did:
1)I set 'days to keep pages in history' to 0
2)I went to tool/internet options/general/clear history,
click OK
3 clicked on the history button, right click on 'today',
delete.

.....and the 'today' history still there???

even with history set to 0 you can not remove today
history. logoff/logon will clear today history.
