how to get rid of e-mail addresses not in a contact record

When I'm assigning an e-mail address to an e-mail, often
an old or incorrect e-mail address for a person gets
stuffed into the address - I think outlook captures
addresses that I send to, even if the person is not in the
system. Anyway, I can't figure out how to get rid of
these addresses - can anyone help me?

As you type the first few letters of the email and a drop down appears with
the wrong address, use the arrow keys on the keyboard to select the bad
entry and click the Delete key on the keyboard.

If you want to clear the entire cache of addresses and start over, find and
delete the file with the extension of .NK2 on your hard drive.
