How to get personalized menus to work again in the 'classic' start,after a small crash in winxp home

Can anyone tell me about the registry key which controls 'pesonalised
menus' in xp home

right click Start>Properties>Start Menu
Classic Start menu>customize
check Use Personalized Menus

This takes a long, long time to begin to work

Thanks, but it was already checked before the 'crash' and is still
checked. I think the registry may have become cluttered and this has
somehow stopped 'personalized menus' from working

Do you know about the key which controls 'personalized menus' or also
does anyone know a good registry cleaner for XP
