How to get into BIOS settings

Just bought a second hand computer for my child. ACER PENTIUM 1.
It used to be a networked machine. Boot up doesn't give any option to press a
key to get into Bios. How do you bypass the Acer Screen and get into the bios?
I need to set it to boot from CD.

It depends on which BIOS is installed on that system.

Michael Stevens has a good list of different BIOS access keys at the

Don't know which bios it is. On bootup up it only displays an ACER screen
with none of the usuial information. I'll have a look at your suggestion,
