How to get info transferred after "=A1" is used?

I have the codes done properly on both spreadsheets by using the "=" on one
spreadsheet and the "A1" on the second spreadsheet, but how do you get the
information in those colums to transfer/merge to the other spreadsheet?

There are three columns in the second spreadsheet coming from
an eight column original spreadsheet. One suggestion was to do the paste
special or paste as values. How is this done?

Thank you for your help

I am not sure of your current problem, but there is a way to make Excel
figure out the right sintaxis of reference cells for you. In the cell that
you want to have the data transfered, type "=", and without typing anything
else go the cell that has the data and click on it. If it is in another
worksheet (Sheet2, for example), Excel will put "=Sheet2!A1" in the formula,
and the data will be there.
About paste values, when you have a range of cells copied on the clipboard
(menu edit->copy or CTRL+C), you can select the cell where you want to paste
the values and go to menu Edit->Paste special. There is an option there for
Values, that will do paste the values of the cells, no matter how they were
calculated.

Hope this helps,
Miguel.
