How to get guide+ showing/into the launchpad taskbar MMC8.8

I uninstalled mmc8.5 to install mmc8.8, what a nightmare.. only 2 items
appeared in the launchpad taskbar. So I went on a clean install frenzy

I uninstalled my ati display drivers and ran the ati cleaner utility,
uninstalled hydravision and guide+ and then proceded to install cat 3.10
wdm and control panel, ATI dvd player, then MMC8.8. guide+ isn't showing
in the launchpad like it used to.

Any ideas on how to get it to show?

Guide Plus has been MIA from my ATI taskbar for sometime now also, I just
put a shortcut on the desktop to launch it. However I would also like to get
it back on the taskbar, look forward to a solution.

it worked in MMC 8.5, I moved from 8.5 directly to 8.8
